2012 Judges
Head Judge - Trixie Lovett

Trixie Lovett started dancing later in life than most trained dancers. She began her career as an exotic dancer in Oregon in her mid-twenties and continued to dance when she relocated to Las Vegas in 1997. Having more opportunities to dance, Trixie became the instructor for the Las Vegas show “Stripper 101”, voted by the E! Entertainment channel as one of Las Vegas’s top 10 sexiest jobs.
Yearning for more diversity, Trixie began working with Fawnia Dietrich at Pole Fitness Studio, where she is now the lead instructor. Trixie’s favorite classes are Spinning Pole, because of the challenge it presents to dancers, and Cougar Pole which is geared for the “more mature” dancer. She has been featured on several local news channels and in USA Today.
In her free time Trixie enjoys being a wife to husband Christopher, an electrical engineer. She also enjoys her two teenage children and adores her three pot-bellied pigs. Trixie practices yoga when she’s off the pole.

David C. Owen

When he began practicing pole dance in July of 2009, David C. Owen had no idea that his involvement with pole was going to carry his life in a new and exciting direction. Having no formal background in dance, gymnastics, or circus arts, pole helped expose David to a new range of experiences and a love of acrobatic movement.
Online social networking through YouTube, StudioVeena, and Facebook all helped to bring national and global attention to the pole skills that David developed with time, discipline, and labor. He is especially appreciated for his above-average flexibility and extended aerial combos. He is now dedicated to promoting safety and excellence in pole dance and fitness.
David does pole performances and workshop tours nationally. As an instructor, David spends less time teaching specific pole skills than some instructors. Instead his focus and specialty is on safely improving strength and flexibility, which he feels expedites the process of learning even the most difficult of advanced pole skills.
At the first annual American Pole Fitness Championships in 2010, David was bestowed the honor and title of Second Place American Pole Fitness Champion. He is grateful for the encouragement of his pole friends near and far, which gave him the courage to participate in APFC and other national events. David is also proud to be a correspondent for Pole Spin Magazine.
